When should I apply for a Patent?

We highly recommend waiting until you’re finished with the design and the mechanical engineering of your concept before applying for any patents. During the design and engineering phases many functions and appearances could change forcing you to update your patents and costing you time and money. If you’re looking to get a patent we will steer you in the correct direction during the development process and connect you with the appropriate attorneys that can help you with your application.

Can you help me find a manufacturer to produce my product?

We have a over 30 years working with domestic and international factories that produce a wide range of consumer.goods and materials. Depending on your product, material and cost we can steer you in the right direction.

Do I need a prototype?

In most scenarios a prototype is made before manufacturing starts but is not always required. Prototypes can be useful for multiple reasons in the development process ranging from sales presentations to manufacturing evaluation. We usually make prototypes after the design and mechanical phase are finished.

How do I sell my product?

You can sell your product yourself or try to sell your product idea to another company with a royalties agreement. There are multiple options online if you’re selling your product yourself and several trade shows that help showcase your product to major retailers. You can also establish a royalties agreement with an existing company / brand that can get more sales. We have experience doing both and are happy direct you in the right decision when you’re ready.

Do I need to make this in China?

No, There are many international and domestic options for manufacturing products besides China. It really depends on the size, material and cost when finding a factory you want to use.
